Delhi Full Day Sightseeing Tour

Spot 1: Jama Masjid
Your first attraction of the day will be the largest mosque of India, Jama Masjid. The mosque is situated in the old city. It was built around in the 16th century.
Spot 2: Red Fort
Red Fort is situated just across Jama Masjid and was built during the reign of Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan. The entire fort is built in red sandstone and every part of this fort is amazing in its own way.
Spot 3: Raj Ghat
Raj Ghat is the memorial of the Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi and this monument is situated amidst a lush green garden. You will see two museums in the premises, the Gandhi Memorial Museum and the Gandhi Smriti Museum.
Spot 4: Jantar Mantar
Jantar Mantar is an observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Jaipur. He built five of them. These observatories were built to compile astronomical tables and to predict the time and movement of the sun, moon and planets.
Spot 5: Lakshmi Narayan Birla Mandir
This is a modern temple built by the industrialist B.D. Birla. You will enjoy the calm and serenity in the atmosphere.
Spot 6: President House
Before Independence, Rashtrapati Bhawan was occupied by the Governor-General of India. The house covers a large area of 200,000 sq. ft. and the architecture is intricate and very Indian. It was built by the British architect, Sir Edwin Lutyens. This place is an integral part of Delhi.
Spot 7: Parliament House
The Parliament House is locate in the northwestern side of the Vijay Chowk near the secretariat buildings. It has a central hall topped with a domed structure and three semi circular chambers. These three chambers were initially assigned to the council of state, legislative assembly and the chamber of princes.
Spot 8: India Gate
India Gate is situated in the heart of Delhi. This monument was designed by Edwin Lutyens. It was built in the memory of the hundreds of soldiers who died in the first world war. The name of these various soldiers are inscribed on the arch of India Gate. It is surrounded by green lawns, fountains and water bodies. In the night, it becomes a picnic spot for families. Kids enjoy in the gardens while their parents relax and enjoy the sights of their kids.
Spot 9: Qutab Minar
Qutub Minar is a minaret built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibak in 1199 A.D. He could not complete the monument and it was complete by later by Iltutmish. There various stories behind the idea of building Qutub Minar and no one knows the truth. But one thing is for sure, that this monument is one of the finest pieces of architecture in the world.
Spot 10: Akshardham Temple
Akshardham is a very modern temple. It shows the traditional Indian and Hindu culture. It comprises of a large campus entirely made of stone. The exhibitions conducted here are based on the incidents from the life of Swaminarayan and the history of India.
